Spoiler alert: In your book there are people that look alike. Is there any intention behind that sub

As I’ve mentioned, when I started writing, I didn’t know what the story was going to be about, and for sure didn’t know what was going to happen. When the “look-alike” theme emerged I had to think about it. I noticed that it fascinated me how people tend to look for similarities between people. When a baby is born, others constantly look to find any resemblance to his/her parents. A friend of mine has told me how embarrassed she was about commenting to a couple how their 3 year old looked exactly like the father, only to find out later the child was adopted. We can be so insistent in our search for resemblance and similarities that there are people who can find similarities between a dog and its owner. I think there is something comforting for us when we find those similarities. How many times did you see someone for the first time and tell yourself “he looks like….” Or “she reminds me of…” It’s a big world out there with so many different people, but somehow we are driven to look for and find similarities among others.
